  • Software Engineer - Richmond, VA

    maconit, inc. has immediate openings for Software Engineers to design and develop Web based applications; design and develop internet and intranet applications. Design and develop SOA services utilizing Microsoft WCF. Applications include outward facing and intranet services that provide: document management.  Develop a secure, multi-tiered architecture to improve code base that provides reusability, ease of maintenance, security of data and sharing of services with other applications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Software Engineers will be responsible for technical support of client operations, software and database maintenance and enhancements across .Net Web, Windows and utility applications. Development of Web Services, database design, database stored procedures and functions as well as key UI portion of applications.

    Technical Experience:

    Clients possess a diverse assortment of application platforms requiring the Software Engineer to be well versed in ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, WCF, web services, Winforms, database design, and T-SQL; including stored procedures, functions and triggers.

  • Software Test Engineer Based in - Charlottesville, VA

    Software Test Engineers/Developers represent the Software Quality Assurance team on development projects at SNL and lead software testing projects that require a higher level of technical expertise. An STE/D will design, develop and maintain the software testing automation system and tools, and will provide advanced debugging of products.

     

    Requirements for success include: moderate knowledge and demonstrated use of managed programming solutions (unmanaged a plus), a high level understanding of data-driven web applications, good project management skills, a moderate understanding of SQL, and the ability to read and understand technical documentation containing functional requirements and SQL queries. A Bachelor’s Degree (CS/EE) and 2 years experience, or Associate Degree (CS/EE) with 4 years experience in software development and testing (combined) is required. The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft related development technologies including .NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, WPF, and Silverlight.
