Web Application Profiling and Debugging by
    Al Tenhundfeld

    Thursday, May 7, 2009, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
    Social Time starts at 6:00!
    Location: Markel Plaza
    4600 Cox Road
    Glen Allen, VA 23060 [map]

    Abstract

If a webpage performs slowly or has occasional errors, the potential causes are many and varied. Finding the problem can be a daunting task, especially when AJAX is highly leveraged. Luckily there are runtime tools to aid this endeavor, allowing real-time inspection of and tampering with HTTP traffic. This talk will focus on profiling applications with the Fiddler web debugging proxy, FireBug, and if time permits, system-focused profiling tools.
