Abstract
You can apply the same principles of problem determination to debugging software or fixing your washing machine. This presentation doesn’t try to teach you how to write bug-free code. But it presents ways to increase your success and reduce your frustration when trying to find and resolve problems in your code or (more likely) the code of others that’s dumped on you when it doesn’t work.
- Why address debugging as a topic?
- Analyzing the Debugging Process
- Principles of Proximity
- On the Relationship of Debugging and Testing
- The Debugging Cookbook
